Welcome to GermsWorld
Diorama Gallery
Here are pictures of the Diorama scenes
I have created. |

This was the first ever diorama that
I created. The werewolf miniature
is a long out of production Citadel
figure. I happen to think it is one
of the best werewolf miniatures produced.
Great simple yet powerful pose howling
at the moon! I put it against three
Ral Partha Bugbear miniatures. Obviously
they are getting slightly beaten.
I had great fun giving the Bugbears
wounds, scratches and in one case
(the bugbear in front) a few ribs
showing.
|

I always seem to put a bit of humour
in my dioramas and this one is no
exception. Being a great fan of Conan
I painted up a typical conanesque
barbarian (I think from Grenadier?).
I also had bits of an old dragon miniature,
(no idea why I didn't have the complete
dragon model?) and decided to show
the aftermath of an encounter between
the two :)
|

I just love these Zombie cowboys from
Foundry miniatures. For a change I
thought I'd paint them as I would
living cowboys rather than the usual
thing of painting zombies as if they
have just dug themselves our of a
grave. And it was nice to use some
bright colours rather than just brown
leather.
|

This diorama was the first where I've
made and painted every aspect of it
right down to the miniatures used.
The miniatures are from the 2mm sci-fi
range I made and in production from
Ground Zero Games. This diorama was
a present for a friend of mine called
Ellis (who recently got his aunt to
tell me off for a misspelling). And
I'm hoping it's still sat on a shelf
being admired somewhere!
|

This Diorama was inspired by all those
games of D&D I played where a
fustrated Game Master would throw
in a powerful moster just because
the characters where doing to well.
They would always claim it was a random
encounter! These two figures are quite
old, although I believe you can still
buy the barbarian. The barbarian was
originally from Genadier and the Giant
is in fact a Ral Partha Firbolg miniature.
This was my first attempt at snow.
I used milliput and added a bit of
definition with very watered down
black ink.
|

Here is my dipiction of a more modern
approach to Exorcism! I loved the
25mm Citadel gang figure and looked
for a way to use him in a scene. He
originally had two pistols but I felt
he needed some more fire power so
added the shot gun. The skeletons
are Citadel plastic ones and the rocks
came from the garden :)
|

Another 10mm diorama this time showing
the undead legions coming through
a portal. The miniatures are 10mm
Pendraken fantasy miniatures. I cut
a couple of the miniatures to have
them look like they were half way
out of the portal. The base is another
wooden coaster.
|

One of only two 10mm dioramas that
I have made. These Pendraken miniature
Marines and Aliens were just begging
to be put together in a scene. Unfortunately
for the Marines I think
times up! The diorama base is actually
a wooden coaster and the rocks were
made out of Milliput.
|

I never really got into Warhammer
40K from Games Workshop but I do like
some of the sci-fi miniatures produced
for it. This Diorama shows a space
marine having run out of ammo just
at the wrong time. So he is going
to have to rely on his trusty knife.
As a nice little touch I made some
spent shells to go with the gun on
the floor. The scenery is all made
of plastic figure bases and the barrells
of to the left are electronic components
(from a broken Video recorder!)
|

This Diorama was my first attempt
at making a flagstone floor.
It was made out of Milliput which
was easy to break up giving stone
style chipped edges. Both figures
are from Citadel and I chose them
to show a fight between Vampire in
his lair and the armoured hero come
to dispatch him.
