Welcome to GermsWorld 6mm Sci-Fi Gallery Showcase
Very soon after the range of 2mm miniatures came out people started to ask about size and whether or not the miniatures would work with other scales. So in answer to that question I have produced a number of mini dioramas mounted on 30mm hexagonal bases (plastic bases from EM4 miniatures).
Since the 2mm miniatures are produced by Ground Zero Games I thought it fitting that I should try some of GZG's 6mm infantry miniatures along side the 2mm mini's.

All the miniatures are produced by Ground Zero Games

For this scene I wanted to try a very different Mars like colour scheme. The troopers in the foregraound are GZG 6mm power armoured troops and the robot support is from the range of 2mm miniatures I made (not yet released!)

Possibly needs some more work but overall I think it worked well and made a change from boring green grass or mud :)

Here we have a 2mm patrol droid that I'm using in exactly the same role but along side some 6mm infantry. I did this little scene as a sending in the droid to make sure it's safe!

You can just make out another of the 2mm miniatures in the form of a destroyed tracked robot (the one with the number 4 on the shoulder pad ;)
First up we have the 2mm Tripod walker with 6mm GZG infantry. I thought I'd go for a bright green jungle style of paint scheme for this base. As you can see the 2mm tripod walker is a perfect support weapon for 6mm infantry.l
Adding a bit of grass to this next scene we have 2mm power armoured walker supporting NSL infantry. I'm not sure I captured the camo pattern well enough with this picture but the 2mm armour looks perfect as an alternative 6mm power aroumed unit.
I always like trying to do snow scenes. So for my Ed-209 style walker I went for a standard grey paint scheme and again three 6mm infantry mini's to show ho well the scale works.
Going for something a bit different this time I used GZG 6mm Xenomorph aliens coming up against a 2mm tracked mech. I might go back and add a fire effect for the mech's gun barrel to show it wipping out the aliens!
And lastly (for now) I went for a muddy looking scene, but this time I've scaled down a 6mm infantry walker from GZG and put it as a larger walker to go with a 2mm wheeled super heavy tank and some 2mm infantry.
I still have one or two more 2mm and 6mm mixed dioramas on the work bench so keep checking back for updates!
